The United Cricket Board of South Africa

The United Cricket Board of South Africa (generally referred to as the UCB) is responsible for the administration of cricket in South Africa.

Organised cricket has been taking place in South Africa since the 1880's, and since 1890, various national bodies have been formed to control the cricket being played by various racial groups in the country. In 1991, the United Cricket Board of South Africa was formed when the South African Cricket Union (responsible at the time for running cricket played by whites) and the South African Cricket Board (which at the time was looking after the administration of cricket played by non-whites) amalgamated.
