PWCCA trials to select IWCC Trophy team

The Pakistan Women's Cricket Control Association, (PWCCA), registered under Corporate Law and Full Member of the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) will be holding National Open Trials from May 09 - 19, 2003.

The open national trials will be held in order to select the best possible team that will participate in the forthcoming IWCC Trophy to be played in Holland, July 2003.

The trials will be conducted under the supervision of test cricketers and the team will be selected strictly on merit.

Women cricketers desirable of participating in the trials are requested to make themselves available at the PWCCA cricket ground (exclusively for women) at 15-E, S.I.T.E., Karachi from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. or contact Kiran Baluch, Executive Director, PWCCA on telephone no. 021 5670805.

PWCCA will bear all expenses of boarding, lodging and traveling for the women cricketers out of Karachi, selected for the national camp.

The National Camp for the preparation of the IWCC under the supervision of PWCCA started on March 05, 2003. Women Cricketers from Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Lahore, Kotri, Karachi and Peshawar are already under training and have already played One-Day International and Test matches. While three players are already in England playing cricket.
