Media Release: PWCCA on PCB letters already endorsing them as the only women's association in Pakistan

Pakistan Women's Cricket Control Association
25-Apr-2003
Pakistan Women's Cricket Control Association, registered under Corporate Law and Full Member of the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) is an endorsed and only governing body for women's cricket in Pakistan and is already endorsed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The letters reproduced below issued by PCB to President of IWCC and Ministry of Sports Culture and Tourism, under the authority of the elected Chief Executive of the PCB, Mr Arif Ali Khan Abbasi, clearly state that the Article of Association and Memorandum of PWCCA has been examined by the PCB.
"Pakistan Cricket Board is satisfied by the above mentioned document and approves/endorses Pakistan Women's Cricket Control Association as the only governing body for women's cricket in Pakistan."
It is important to mention here that the Honourable Lahore High Court had directed PCB to only determine one association out of the existing three and regulate women's cricket.
The Senior Civil Judge, Lahore has awarded PWCCA with a RESTRAINING ORDER against the PCB, restricting it from indulging in the affairs of women's cricket in Pakistan and permitting PWCCA to enjoy its legal rights.
Please find below, reproduced copies of the above mentioned letters for your ready reference.
